COLUMBUS, OH – One person suffered major injuries late Tuesday night when they collided with a vehicle while operating a motorcycle in west Columbus, reports NBC4i.
Local police said the wreck unfolded at South Powell Avenue and Olive Street, near West High School in the city’s Westgate neighborhood. Emergency responders were called to the scene shortly after 10:49 p.m.
Preliminary details show the victim was driving an off-road motorcycle that was involved in a crash with another vehicle.
The rider, who sustained injuries considered life-threatening, was rushed to an area hospital. Officials observed that the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
