At Least 1 Injured in Crash on US-23 near Lewis Center

DELAWARE COUNTY, OH – Emergency crews were dispatched to an injury accident early Wednesday afternoon near Lewis Center, according to Johnny Hill, local traffic news announcer.

The collision occurred on the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 23 at Home Road, north of Columbus. It was first reported at around 12:40 p.m.

Very few details have been made available at this time, but the scene had a section of the southbound highway shut down.

Photos taken at the crash site indicates multiple vehicles were involved. At least two vehicles appear to have collided head-on.

By 12:53 p.m., the right southbound lane of US-23 and all of eastbound Home Road remained closed as crews worked to clear the wreck from the roadway.

Local officials have not shared any information regarding the conditions of those involved.
