PICKAWAY CO., OH – One person died, and another went to the hospital Tuesday following a wrong-way crash in north Pickaway County.
According to abc 6, the accident happened on the northbound side of OH-104 past Van Meter Road. This is just southwest of South Bloomfield and about 20 miles from Columbus.
Police say that a southbound 2020 Ford Mustang entered the northbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a northbound Kenworth semi-truck.
The driver of the Mustang, identified as a 20-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Medics transported the 47-year-old truck driver to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Motorists likely encountered delays along the highway while emergency teams worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
