PERRY COUNTY, OH – Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that a 15-year-old died following a two-vehicle wreck involving an all-terrain vehicle Tuesday evening in Perry County, reports ABC6.
The fatal incident occurred on State Route 13 in the area of milepost 15, prompting an emergency response shortly after 6:50 p.m.
According to officials, a 36-year-old man was driving a 2021 Ford F-150 pickup truck eastbound when he tried to go around another vehicle. Shortly after, his Ford struck a westbound 2022 Honda Rancher ATV operated by the victim.
First responders pronounced the teen driver deceased at the scene.
The 36-year-old man suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether he needed to be taken to a hospital.
No information indicating potential charges or citations has been released. An investigation remains underway.
