Motorcyclist Dies Following Multi-Vehicle Wreck on SR 665 Near Grove City

FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH – One person died as a result of a multi-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles Sunday evening, September 15, near Grove City, reports NBC4i.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal wreck occurred on a stretch of eastbound State Route 665 west of Borror Road. It was first reported shortly after 6:35 p.m.

Witnesses said two people were operating a pair of Honda motorcycles eastbound on the highway and were approaching the intersection. At one point, a car made a turn onto Borror Road, prompting both motorcyclists to lay their bikes down, a maneuver that involves tipping the bike over on purpose, to avoid a collision with the car.

Both riders were rushed to an area hospital by Jackson Township medics. However, one of the victims succumbed to their injuries at about 10:30 p.m. that same night.

No information about the involved driver has been released at this time. An investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains in progress.
