COLUMBUS, OH – A 27-year-old motorcyclist lost their life Monday night following a collision involving another vehicle in northeast Columbus, according to FOX 28.
The accident unfolded on a stretch of East Dublin Granville Road (State Route 161) at Farview Road. Columbus Police responded to the area shortly after 6:35 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate the victim was operating a motorcycle westbound on East Dublin Granville Road at the same time a van turned onto the northbound road from the eastbound direction, resulting in a crash.
First responders pronounced the rider deceased at the scene.
The driver of the car stayed after the crash and cooperated with officials.
A section of the westbound road was shut down at Old Dublin Granville Road to accommodate an investigation.
No charges have been reported at this time.
