Initiated by Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company, LLC, on February 15, 2025, the recall covers 1-ounce pouches of Mauna Loa Milk Chocolate Covered Macadamia snack pouches that were made available for purchase at the following retailers in Southern California: World Market; Abraham & Sons, Inc.
Affected snack pouches can be found under UPC (Universal Product Code) 0 72992 04260 3 and are identified by lot number K4351 and best-by date 07 2026, found on the pouch’s back side.
Company officials say undeclared almonds were revealed to be present in a batch of its product during an internal quality control process. The discovery prompted then prompted the company to take account for all affected product, which was produced by a third-party co-manufacturer.
