Hit-and-Run Driver Leaves Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in SE Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – One person suffered significant injuries Monday evening, November 25, when they were struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene in southeast Columbus, reports FOX 28.

The incident unfolded on Frebis Avenue, a little east of Burstock Road, in the city’s Deshler Park area. First responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after 6:24 p.m.

Very few details have been disclosed at this time, but officials said an adult pedestrian had to be rushed to a local hospital after being hit by an unknown vehicle whose driver sped away.

Police said the victim is expected to survive their injuries, which were deemed serious.

An investigation is being carried out by the department’s Accident Investigation Unit.
