ROSS COUNTY, OH – Two drivers suffered significant injuries due to a two-vehicle wreck Monday morning, December 16, in Scioto Township, according to Scioto Valley Guardian.
The accident unfolded on a span of Eastern Avenue near Stauffer lane at around 4:34 a.m.
Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Chillicothe Post said a 23-year-old Chillicothe resident was driving a 2003 Honda Element northwest on Eastern Avenue. At one point, the driver veered past the center line, causing the Honda to strike a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by a 36-year-old fellow Chillicothe resident.
Scioto Township EMS crews rushed the driver of the Honda to Adena Regional Medical with serious injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet, who was also seriously hurt, was transported by Huntington Township EMS to Grant Medical Center.
Multiple area agencies responded to the scene of the crash, which continues to be investigated by the OSHP.
