Driver Dies Following Multi-Vehicle Crash at NW Columbus Intersection

COLUMBUS, OH – One person was killed in a three-vehicle collision Saturday evening, September 28, in northwest Columbus, reports NBC4i.

The wreck occurred on State Route 161 at Maplebrook Lane, shortly before 9:00 p.m.

According to Columbus police, one driver in a Dodge was traveling westbound on the highway when they approached the intersection, where the victim was making a turn from Maplebrook Lane. The move resulted in crash between the two vehicles, which both went on to strike a Subaru Forester heading eastbound on the highway.

First responders pronounced the driver of the Subaru Forester deceased at the crash site.

Neither of the other two drivers or anyone else was reported hurt. An investigation remains underway.
