COLUMBUS, OH – At least one person was reported injured following a crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 71 near downtown Columbus, according to Johnny Hill, local traffic news announcer with WTVN 610.
The incident unfolded on the northbound lanes at Exit 108B to East Broad Street, or U.S. Highway 62, near the city’s Olde Towne East area. It was first reported at about 2:47 p.m., when the exit ramp had already been shut down.
While details remain limited, by 2:53 p.m., the exit ramp was re-opened shortly after the initial report.
It was not immediately apparent how many people were injured and how badly.
