COLUMBUS, OH – At least one person was injured Wednesday afternoon, December 11, on Interstate 670 in northeast Columbus, according to local traffic news announcer Johnny Hill.
The accident happened on the westbound lanes of I-670 before Exit 7 to East 5th Avenue, near the city’s St. Mary’s area. It was first reported at about 2:20 p.m.
A photo captured by a traffic camera shows at least one fire engine and another emergency vehicle responding to the scene, where at least two passenger cars appear to have been involved.
The two left lanes and left shoulder were blocked as a result of the wreck. Motorists were warned of delays starting from before the ramps to John Glenn Columbus International Airport.

By 2:40 p.m., the scene had been moved to the left berm.
Officials have not confirmed the number of people hurt or the extent of their injuries at this time.
