COLUMBUS, OH – One person died as a result of a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle Sunday afternoon, October 20, in northeast Columbus, according to NBC4i.
The accident happened at the intersection of Stelzer Road and Middlemore Drive, in the city’s Somerset neighborhood. It was first reported shortly after 5:05 p.m.
Columbus Police said the motorcyclist, 43, was traveling northbound on Stelzer Road on a Harley Davidson and heading toward Middlemore Drive. At one point, the motorcyclist collided with a driver in a Buick Encore traveling southbound.
First responders rushed the rider to an area hospital where the patient succumbed to their injuries at about 5:55 p.m.
It’s unclear at this time which party was at fault in the collision, but the driver of the Buick stayed at the scene, where they received treatment for injuries considered minor.
