Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver on Granville Rd in NW Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – Authorities responded to a fatal hit-and-run collision early Sunday, August 25, in northwest Columbus that resulted in the death of a pedestrian, reports CW Columbus.

The incident unfolded on a stretch of East Dublin Granville Road near Sawmill Place Boulevard at around 3:00 a.m.

According to Columbus Police, the victim was walking near the intersection when they were struck by a white 2013-2014 Scion XD traveling eastbound on East Dublin Granville Road.

The pedestrian, whose age and city of residence remains undisclosed, was pronounced deceased by first responders at the scene.

Officials indicated that the involved driver failed to stop following the crash and has not been located.

An investigation remains in progress.
