COLUMBUS, OH – A driver suffered major injuries late Saturday, August 10, as a result of a rollover crash on Polaris Parkway in northeast Columbus, reports NBC4i.
The accident happened on a stretch of the westbound parkway near the northeast entrance ramp to southbound Interstate 71. It was first reported at about 11:24 p.m.
An early investigation found that the victim was driving a Nissan westbound when the car ran past the paved area of the ramp and entered a grassy area of the roadside. It then collided with a barrier and overturned, coming to rest on its side.
First responders rushed the driver, who sustained serious injury, to an area hospital. Columbus Police Department officials said the patient was listed in critical condition.
No other occupants or vehicles appear to have been involved, and no charges have been reported at this time.
