COLUMBUS, OH – One person suffered major injuries Wednesday morning due to a rollover crash on a State Route 61 ramp in northeast Columbus, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
The accident occurred at the westbound SR-161 to southbound Interstate 170 interchange, causing the ramp to shut down at around 10:46 a.m.
Details remain limited, but the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person was rushed to Grant Medical Center where they were listed in critical condition. Only one vehicle appeared to have been involved, but officials did not immediately indicate whether the victim was the driver or a passenger.
A section of the highway remained closed as of 12:50 p.m., causing significant traffic backups in the area.
No charges or citations have been reported following the incident, but an investigation was underway.
