DELAWARE COUNTY, OH – Authorities were called to an injury collision Thursday morning on Interstate 71 near Sunbury, according to local traffic announcer Johnny Hill.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-71 before Exit 131 to U.S. Route 36/State Route 37. It was first reported shortly before 7:36 a.m.
Very few details have been made available at this time, but the right southbound lane was closed in the immediate aftermath. Motorists were advised to stay left to pass the scene.
While at least one person was confirmed injured, the severity of their condition has not been disclosed.
