Motorcyclist dies following hit-and-run on Scarborough Blvd in SE Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – A hit-and-run collision last Friday, July 26, in east Columbus resulted in the death of a 50-year-old motorcyclist, according to to FOX 28.

The fatal incident unfolded as the victim was traveling eastbound on Scarborough Boulevard, near the city’s Walnut Hills neighborhood, at about 4:20 p.m.

Columbus Police said the motorcyclist was approaching Park Crescent Drive when a westbound SUV made a turn in his direct path, causing him to strike the vehicle. The SUV then fled the scene without stopping.

The rider, who was ejected from his bike, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

At this time, an investigation and a search for the hit-and-run driver remain in progress.
