COLUMBUS, OH – Authorities were dispatched to a five-vehicle collision Sunday evening in east Columbus that left at least two people injured, reports NBC4i.
The accident happened on the westbound side of Interstate 70 near Miller Avenue (mile marker 102), prompting a response from Columbus police and emergency crews at around 6:30 p.m.
Little information regarding the cause of the crash has been shared with the public, but two people were transported to a local hospital. An unspecified number of other patients received treatment at the scene.
Motorists were advised that a section of I-70 was closed off for the emergency response. About an hour later, all lanes were reopened to traffic.
At this time, it remains unclear whether anyone is expected to be charged or cited for their role in the incident.
