COLUMBUS, OH – Two people were hurt, one critically, early Friday as a result of a single-vehicle wreck in southeast Columbus, according to NBC4i.
Columbus police said the accident occurred on a stretch of Omar Road near Bulen Avenue, in the Marion Franklin neighborhood.
Preliminary details indicate a red Ford Escort was heading westbound on Omar Road when, for reasons still being investigated, its driver lost control. The vehicle went on to hit multiple vehicles that were parked in the area, and then came to a rest near Bulen Avenue.
The driver, who suffered life-threatening injuries, and the front-seat passenger, who was listed in stable condition, were both transported to Grant Medical Center.
A third passenger, who was in the rear seat at the time of the crash, was not reported hurt.
An investigation by the Accident Investigation Unit remains in progress.
